He was the eldest son of [[Banwari Lal Sharma]], a five-time MLA and Cabinet Minister in the [[Government of Rajasthan]]. Sharma was part of the influential Jagan political family and was known for his role in Brahmin politics in Rajasthan.&lt;br /&gt;
