&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Amlar&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; is a village in the [[India]]n union territory of [[Jammu and Kashmir (union territory)|Jammu and Kashmir]]. It lies at a distance of almost 35 km from [[Srinagar]] and 6 km from main [[Tral]] town and 5 km from [[Awantipora]]. Its nearby villages are Nowpora, [[Lariyar]] and Poshwan. On the Khandaypora (mohalla of Amlar) side, it is surrounded by a low mountain (Wudur). Amlar consists of various [[mohallas]] like Shiekhpora, Khandaypora, Dar mohalla, Khudpora, Kumar Mohalla. In addition to this, there is a place, Nagrad, which is considered a part of Sheikhpora.&lt;br /&gt;

The climate of the place does vary according to season. During summer, it is very hot, and during winter, it is shivering cold in Amlar. In winter, the village is covered by snow.&lt;br /&gt;

The literacy rate of this village is very high. It is considered to be one of the highest literate villages in the entire Tral having a literacy rate of 90%. There are many schools like MPS, Govt. High School etc.&lt;br /&gt;

[[Islam]] is the dominant religion in Amlar. There are people of different sects of Islam mainly Hanafi, Salafi etc. There are four mosques in the village, two are Jamia.&lt;br /&gt;
