At the behest of Akbar, Abbas compiled, in 1582, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Tufah-yi Akbar Shahi&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, better known as, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Ta&amp;#039;rikh-i Sher Shahi&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, a biography of Shah Sur. The &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Ta&amp;#039;rikh-i Sher Shahi&amp;#039;&amp;#039; was compiled after the fall of the [[Sur Empire|Sur dynasty]] with the preconceived notion of enhancing the Pashtun dynasty when facts were lacking.
