Treaty of Kalat
The Treaty of Kalat (Hindi: कलात की सन्धि) was an agreement established in 1875 between the British Rāja and the Baloch tribes situated along the borders of Punjab, in present-day Pakistan.
This treaty, facilitated by British chargé d'affaires Robert Groves Sandeman, aimed to bring peace among the conflicting tribes and their Khan, while also acknowledging British direct authority over the Khanate of Kalat.
The formal signing of the treaty took place in 1876 at Jacobabad, where the Khan and the Viceroy of India, Lord Lytton, put their signatures. This event occurred in what is now known as Sindh, Pakistan.
