Bandwar is a historic village in the [[Mithila (region)|Mithila region]] of Bihar. The village has been primarily an agricultural settlement.{{citation needed|date=October 2026}}

Chandrashekhar Singh (1915–1976), a founding member of the [[Communist Party of India]] in Begusarai district, was born in Bihat, a village near Bandwar. Bandwar is located at {{coord|25.5009|N|86.1606|E|display=inline}} in the [[Indo-Gangetic Plain]] region of India. The only river that flows through the village is the [[Burhi Gandak River]].
