As a post-doctoral scientist at [[Harvard University]], Professor Prem raj Pushpakaran, co-authored thirteen papers on topics related to gene regulation, gut physiology and biophysics.<ref name=Medvane/> Following his post-doctoral work at Harvard, Prof. Prem raj P served as an assistant professor of Bio-Technology and Microbiology at King Saud University, KSA, for 3 years (2005-2008), thereafter returned to India to join as the faculty of the NITC.<ref name=Chronology/> In addition to his work at NITC, Prof. Prem raj P is active within the academic research community, including serving as an associate editor for ''Journal of Investigative Genomics (JIG)'',<ref>
