Vedanayagam's ideals of women's liberation and education are reflected in the novel.

Vijay Antony started his career as a sound engineer and later became a music composer. After completing his college studies, he established an audio studio called Audio Infotainment and worked as a sound engineer there. This fort was built during the period of [[Yadava]] of Deogiri. It was under the control of Yadavas from 1279 to 1308. It was later under the control of [[Bahamani Sultanate]] followed by Nizamshahi of [[Ahmednagar]]. In 1629 [[Shahaji]] Raje revolted against the [[Mohammed Adil Shah, Sultan of Bijapur|Mohammed Adil Shah]] of [[Bijapur]] and the fort was captured by him. This fort was again captured by [[Adil Shah]] after the surrender of Shahaji at [[Mahuli]] Fort. ==How to reach==
There are two routes to reach the base village of Dahalepada. One route is from Khodala and the other from Igatpuri. The nearest town is [[Igatpuri]] which is 48 km from [[Nashik]] and 121 km from [[Mumbai]]. The base village of the fort is Dahalepada which is 48 km from Igatpuri. There are hotels at both Igatpuri and Ghoti. The trekking path starts from the hillock south of the Dahlepada. The route is very safe and wide. The trekking route passes through the scrub forest until it reaches an open ridge that is connected to the fort. It takes about an hour to reach the scarp of the hill on which the fort is situated. The route then take a long traverse behind the hillock. There are many overhangs on the scarp. The traverse is very safe and passes through Karvi shrubs till it reaches the rock-cut steps. The climb on the steps is very easy. The parent rock is cut in helical shape and the steps are carved out of it. Half of the path is now covered with boulders and stones. It takes about 15 minutes to reach the top of the fort. The night stay on the fort cannot be made since there is no water and no accommodation facility. It is advised to carry enough water for this trek since there is no water on the route and on the fort.{{cn|date=September 2020}}

There is one main gate on the main entrance path of the fort. The main entrance gate and the rock-cut steps are carved in the same rock. There is a rock-cut water cistern on the fort. There is a rough idol of Veer Maruti on the fort. [[MUC]], [[CPI (ML)]] was formed when Kerala Communist Party and Maharashtra Communist Party merged in 1997. These two groups were surviving state units of the [[Central Reorganisation Committee, CPI(ML)|Central Reorganisation Committee, CPI (ML)]] (which was dissolved in 1991). CRC, CPI (ML) is also the group from which [[Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Red Flag]] broke away, after the Red Flag split in 1987 there was not much left of the CRC, CPI (ML).

Rauf was the leader of the small [[Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Red Flag]] unit in [[Andhra Pradesh]]. Large parts of the leadership of Rauf's faction were killed in police raids in the 1980s, and the group never recovered. Rauf had been pushing for an ultraleft line within Red Flag, and in 2000 he split. After the merger with CPI (ML) Naxalbari (formerly MUC, CPI (ML)) Rauf became the general secretary for the unified party.

CPI (ML) Naxalbari were members of [[Revolutionary Internationalist Movement]] (a Maoist 'international') and [[CCOMPOSA]]. The RIM-membership was inherited from CRC, CPI (ML), which was one of three founding organisations of RIM.

CPI (ML) advocated armed struggle and they only recognised groups such as [[Communist Party of India (Maoist)]] as truly [[communist]].

==Plot==
In the colonial upper class society of Assam, a young woman has to give up pursuit of her university education for an arranged marriage with a rich tea-planter. The plantation and its social routine become a prison of boredom for her since her husband completely neglects her for his business. She is outraged when she discovers that her marriage takes place in order to eliminate her father's huge debt. She considers herself as having been sold to her husband. Then one day an old classmate and ex-lover, now an army officer, visits them. Depressed, she is drawn to him as she seeks fulfillment.<ref name="ab" /><ref name="cd" /><ref name="ef" />

Ganguly was born on 3 February 1909 in [[Khulna]], [[Bengal]], [[British India]] to Abinashchandra Ganguly and Sarala Sundara Devi. Their family was from [[Bikrampur]], [[Dhaka]], [[Bengal]]. Liston was born in [[Secunderabad]] where his father was an Army Chaplain. The surgeon [[Robert Liston]], known for Liston's Splint, was a cousin of his father. Liston was sent to be educated at [[George Watson's College|George Watson's College, Edinburgh]] followed by studies at the Albany Academy, Glasgow before joining Glasgow University to study medicine. A year after graduating he joined the Indian Medical Service in 1898. He was trained at the Army Medical School at [[Netley Hospital|Netley]]. His was posted to Secunderabad and shortly on arrival he was involved in research surrounding a plague outbreak at Bombay. A commission was sent from England that included [[Thomas Richard Fraser|T. R. Fraser]] from Edinburgh, [[Almroth Wright]] from Netley and M. A. Ruffer from Egypt. Liston was chosen to assist Wright and they established a laboratory in Bombay and began work. In 1901 the commission produced a report in five volumes. He also worked simultaneously on malaria and produced a monograph of the Indian ''[[Anopheles]]'' species along with [[Sydney Price James|S.P. James]] with illustrations by [[Dnyaneshwar Atmaram Turkhud|D.A. Turkhud]]. Liston was then recalled to England to work at Netley under Wright. He began to examine the suggestions that fleas were key in the spread of plague. In 1902 Liston received his MD and a Bellahouston gold medal from Glasgow for his studies on malaria. He returned to India in 1903 and was posted in Bombay to worked under [[William Burney Bannerman|W.B. Bannerman]] and [[Waldemar Haffkine]]. The main investigations were on rat fleas but they were unable to demonstrate transmission of the plague through their bites. After examining [[guinea pig]]s that died from plague at the Bombay zoo, he decided that they could be used to trap fleas in homes. This experiment proved valuable and they were able to confirm transmission by the Oriental rat flea (''[[Xenopsylla cheopis]]''). He was then involved in development of a plague vaccine.<ref name=":0" />

Since its first reference in the Natya Shastra, The Chitravina has undergone numerous developments and is today shaped like the South Indian Veena.{{citation needed|date=July 2020}}

There are six main strings used for melody that pass over the top of the instrument, three [[drone (music)|drone]] strings and 11 or 12 [[sympathetic string]]s running parallel to and below the main strings. Among the more prominent solo instruments in Carnatic music, it is also seen in collaborative world music concerts and north-south Indian [[jugalbandi]]s.{{citation needed|date=July 2020}}

The chitravina is generally tuned to G sharp (5 and 1/2) and played with a slide like a [[Hawaiian steel guitar]] and the north Indian [[vichitra veena]]. The approach to tuning is similar to the [[sitar]] in the context of the 11-12 sympathetic resonance strings (from the low Pa to high Sa), similar to the Saraswati veena in the context of the three drone (tala) strings (Sa-Pa-Sa), but is unique in terms of the top-layer main playing six strings, which are configured as 3 tonic strings (sa), 2 fifth strings (pa) and 1 base tonic string (sa). ==Recent history==

The ''chitravina'' was popularised in South India by [[Sakha Rama Rao]] before his disciple [[Narayan Iyengar|Gotuvadyam Narayana Iyengar]] (1903 - 1959), who was a palace musician of the erstwhile [[States of Travancore and Mysore|states of Travancore & Mysore]] took it to great heights. Iyengar's son, [[Chitravina Narasimhan]] (b. 1941) was instrumental in spreading his father's stringing and tuning methods as well as playing style.

==Construction and tuning==
Since its first reference in the Natya Shastra, The Chitravina has undergone numerous developments and is today shaped like the South Indian Veena.{{citation needed|date=July 2020}}

There are six main strings used for melody that pass over the top of the instrument, three [[drone (music)|drone]] strings and 11 or 12 [[sympathetic string]]s running parallel to and below the main strings. Among the more prominent solo instruments in Carnatic music, it is also seen in collaborative world music concerts and north-south Indian [[jugalbandi]]s.{{citation needed|date=July 2020}}

The chitravina is generally tuned to G sharp (5 and 1/2) and played with a slide like a [[Hawaiian steel guitar]] and the north Indian [[vichitra veena]]. The approach to tuning is similar to the [[sitar]] in the context of the 11-12 sympathetic resonance strings (from the low Pa to high Sa), similar to the Saraswati veena in the context of the three drone (tala) strings (Sa-Pa-Sa), but is unique in terms of the top-layer main playing six strings, which are configured as 3 tonic strings (sa), 2 fifth strings (pa) and 1 base tonic string (sa). The first two fingers on the right hand are usually used with plectra to pluck the metal melody strings while a cylindrical block made out of [[hardwood]] (often [[ebony]]), [[African Buffalo|buffalo]] horn, glass, steel, or [[teflon]] held by the left hand is used to slide along the strings to vary the pitch.

Narayana Iyengar's grandson [[Chitravina]] [[N.
