It is located 20 km west of the district headquarters [[Sivaganga]], 15 km from [[Tiruppuvanam]] and 476 km from the state capital [[Chennai]].
Nearby villages include Thamarakki (north) (6 km), Thamarakki (south) (6 km), Kumarapatti (8 km), Mudikandam (9 km) and Padamathur (9 km).

கிளாதரி-- பெயர் காரணம் : கிளை உடைய கொம்புகளுடன் திரியும் மான்கள் வசிக்கும் வனப்பகுதியில் வசித்து வந்த மக்கள் வெளி உலக மக்களுடன் தொடர்பு கொள்ளும் போது கிளைமான்திரியும் வனப்பகுதியில் இருந்து வருவதாக தெரிவித்து வந்துள்ளனர். நாளடைவில் கிளைமான்திரி என்ற பெயர் மருவி இன்று கிளாதிரி/கிளாதரி ஆகிவிட்டது.
