The village comprises an area of 74.98 hectares.<ref name="C2011" /> It is situated 35 km and 14 degrees north-east from [[Varanasi]], 60 km west from [[Ghazipur]], 50 km east from [[Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh|Jaunpur]] and 70 km south from [[Azamgarh]], on the border of districts of Ghazipur and [[Jaunpur district|Jaunpur]]. It is surrounded by the villages of Mathiya, Saraiya, Gahira and Singarpur.<ref>verifiable from maps</ref>
