These were merged to create a government multi-faculty, co-educational institution, which was named after Late Thakur [[Jagdev Chand]], a legendary political figure of Himachal Pradesh who won five consecutive elections from the area.<br /> <br /> ==Background==<br /> The college is located at Sujanpur-Tihra in the Hamirpur Distt, a historical area.
