==History==

Dabhoi Junction railway station is at a distance of about 36 km from [[Vadodara]]. The station is about 150 years old and was once the largest [[narrow-gauge railway]] station in Asia. Although few narrow-gauge lines remain in India, because most have been converted to [[broad-gauge railway|broad gauge]], this is one of the remaining unchanged lines. Steam-powered trains for [[Miyagam Karjan Junction railway station|Miyagam Karjan]], [[Chandod]], [[Vadodara Junction railway station|Vadodara]], etc., operate here.

There is little option for breakfast or lunch, since the station has only one tea/coffee stall. There is nothing to see except the oldest sheds and benches at the platform.

==Electrification==
The PRTN–DB–CTD line electrification work in progress and it will be completed in the end of this year 2020. Along with Dabhoi–Kevadiya new BG line + electrification work in progress.

Now PRTN–DB–KDCY line has been electrified. This new line was inaugurated on 17 January 2021 along with 3 new railway stations, Dabhoi, Chandod and Kevadia.

DB–CTD–ARPR–DHAR line electrification work is in progress. It is expected to be completed in mid-2021.

== Structure ==

The President of India, [[Ram Nath Kovind]] had laid the foundation stone on 15 December 2018. == Development ==

The construction of the railway station is set to cost 200 million Indian rupees. The railway line will connect Kevadia to [[Chandod]], Moriya, [[Tilakwada]] and Garudeshwar. The existing Narrow Gauge railway line between Chandod and [[Dabhoi]] has been converted to broad gauge. Another {{cvt|32|km}} stretch is being laid between Chandod and Kevadia.
The station building has three levels. The first two levels contain facilities for passengers and the third floor is an art gallery. It was inaugurated on 17 January 2021.
