The station is situated on the [[Delhi]]–[[Dehradun]] and [[Howrah]]–Dehradun railway lines. One of the main railheads of the [[Northern Railway zone]], Haridwar Junction railway station is connected by broad-gauge lines. The station is situated on the [[National Highway 58 (India)|NH 58]] in the Devpura locality of [[Haridwar]]. The nearby station of [[Rishikesh]] is connected to Haridwar on a branch line. Towards west, the major railhead is at [[Saharanpur]] (76 km) and going north, the major railhead is at [[Dehradun]] (52 km).

The railway station is located on the south side of the town, within walking distance of most hotels. A tourist information center is provided by the railway department to help travelers. Computerized reservation facility is offered. In front of the railway station is the [[Uttarakhand Transport Corporation|UTC]] Roadways Bus Station of [[Haridwar]] offering regular services to places in and around [[Haridwar]] such as [[Delhi]] and to all major destinations in [[North India]] including [[Mussoorie]], [[Meerut]], [[Saharanpur]], [[Ghaziabad]], [[Kanpur]], [[Lucknow]], [[Bareilly]], [[Shimla]], [[Dehradun]], [[Badrinath]], [[Nainital]], [[Ranikhet]] and [[Uttarkashi]]. ==Overview==
Udaipur City Railway Station has six platforms and a total of eight tracks. It is situated on the Udaipur Road, around 2.5 km from the city center, and around 25 km from [[Udaipur Airport]]. To decongest the main Udaipur City Railway Station, the suburban station [[Rana Pratap Nagar railway station]] is developed as the second main station for passenger trains and [[Umarda Railway Station]] will be the third Railway Station of [[Udaipur]].

===The Living Wall===

Udaipur City Railway Station is set to get a Living Wall, which is a self-sufficient vertical garden attached to the exterior or interior of the building. Initiated by the Railway and UIT, this project covered and converted a barren wall of 1,400 square feet into a beautiful green space. This project included installation of metal sheet frames (MS), followed by plantation in specially designed GI panels (Galvanized iron) hanging on the MS frame. Organic fertilizers have been used to grow plants to avoid overweight on the wall. ==Thottada Beach==

Thottada Beach is a beautiful beach in [[Kannur district]] of [[Kerala]], [[South India]]. It is situated at Thottada just about 2.5 km from the NH 66 connecting [[Kannur]] city and [[Thalassery|Thalassery town]] and 7 km from Kannur city also 13 km from Thalassery. The virgin beach 800 meter long is ideal for sun bathing. Tourists could stay at the beach house or guest house near the beach. The Thottada river (a small one) which is 4.5 km long, flows into one end of the [[Edakkad]] beach. There is also a dam/bund built across the river 3 decades ago to keep the fresh water from salt water. Away from the sea the river spreads to form swamps which makes a great habitat for various birds and fishes.

Kuruva is a small village in the [[Kannur District]] of [[Kerala]], [[South India]]. It is located between [[Kannur City|Kannur town]] and Thottada.

Kuruva was once known for its ''[[beedi]]'' manufacturing, but this industry no longer exists in the village.
The [[Sree Narayana Guru]] Smaraka Vayanasala were witnessed for many incidents{{Clarify|date=February 2011}} during the [[Indian independence movement]]. Many of the local meetings were held here.
There were many agricultural activities in the village. But now all the fields have become residential areas.
