== Plot ==

The film revolves around Kochi's underworld. Shanmugham and Advocate Devin Carlos Padaveedan run the organized crime syndicate of Kochi. Shanmugham, aka Kumbari, moonlights as a police constable but never wears his uniform. The story progresses as Padaveedan suspects Shanmugham turns soft because of his interaction with SI Ashok Srinivas. Padaveedan then turns against Shanmugham and orders his lieutenants to kill him off. Shanmugham could not believe his betrayal but eventually came around and finished Padaveedan and his top lackeys off. Thus the city gets rid of some of its most dangerous criminals. Shanmugham, in the end, moves out to start a new life with his deaf daughter and Anandam.

The story concerns a young married woman, Soudamini (Sheela), whose upper-class husband (P.K. Abraham) has been paralyzed and rendered impotent. Living with her old husband she likes the servant, Chandrasekharan (Jayan). And She eventually marries him but later discovers that he has had relationship with many ladies and he aimed only at her wealth. She and her only daughter Baby (Latha)(born from her first husband) are helpless as they are not able to put him out of their lives. Later, a young man named Prabhakaran, who is the son of an ex-servant of Soudamini, enters their life and helps them to get rid of Chandrasekharan. In the climax, Chandrasekharan is shot dead by Soudamini.

==Plot==
Bhaskaran Pillai is a business tycoon and single parent. His father Sankara Narayanan Pillai was also a big businessman once, but when his business failed, he had to go through the financial crisis, resulting in his relatives and friends abandoning him. His son Bhaskar was the only pillar of support. Since then, Bhaskar's sole aim is to create and amass wealth. His business empire is the result of his hard work.

Bhaskar is impatient and reacts harshly to anyone who does something against his will. This behaviour earns him the name "Rascal". Bhaskar is a widower and has a son named Aadhi.

Aadhi and Shivani study in the same school.

Bhaskar indulges in a fight at Aadhi's school. Shivani witnesses the encounter and is highly impressed with Bhaskar and develops an admiration towards him and is excited to meet him. She is also short-tempered and aggressive.

Shivani's mother Hima, who is also a single parent, and Bhaskar involve in a small fight in Aadhi's school.

Bhaskar goes with Aadhi for a felicitation function, where actress Rani Kabeer is the chief guest. Rani gives an interview stating that she is in love with a businessman who is a single parent. Bhaskar reaches the venue at the same time. This creates a confusion in the media people, and they mistake Bhaskar to be Rani's love interest. The reporters bombard him with questions about Rani. Bhaskar answers their questions while mistaking their questions to be about his choice of beer, a brand named "Ranika" (Ranika Beer). The statements go viral. Rani's real love interest happens to be see the news and severs his ties from Rani. Bhaskar, acting on the advice of his father, tries to set things right by meeting Rani's love interest and settling the misunderstanding. Things take a different course when Rani's love interest denies Bhaskar an audience and insults him. Bhaskar then thrashes Rani's boyfriend in his office, which is also covered by the press.

In school, Aadhi is being mocked by his classmates because of his father's fiasco. Shivani tries to save Aadhi, but one of the boys twists her hand. She attacks the boy in self-defense. The boy's mother makes an issue of it, but thanks to Bhaskar's timely intervention, the matter is solved without much haste. Bhaskar encourages Shivani to be outspoken and aggressive, but Hima dislikes it as she is a girl. She argues with Bhaskar and leaves.

Hima, upon reaching home, scolds her daughter. She tells her the story of how she lost her husband Sanjay Sharma. The events are shown in a brief flashback. A few thugs misbehave with Hima in a theater, and she humiliates them. Sanjay does nothing, and Hima gets annoyed with him. Once he drops her off, he drives back to the place. Hima follows and sees him in a fight with them. Hima tries to stop Sanjay, but he gets shot by one of the thugs and dies. She states that she does not want the same fate for Shivani.

The mother of the boy whom Shivani beats up goes to the police station to get information about Sanjay and Hima's family. Aadhi and Shivani plan to get their parents married and decide to spend time with their "new parents" - Shivani with Bhaskar and Aadhi with Hima. Bhaskar shows some interest in Hima, but she remains indifferent and tries to avoid him on all occasions.

On Shivani's birthday, a small party is organized. The only guests invited are Aadhi and Bhaskar, but a third uninvited guest appears and surprises everyone. It turns out to be Sanjay. He introduces himself to Bhaskar and Aadhi. A flashback shows that after Sanjay was shot, he was sent to a nearby hospital. The doctor plans to shift him to another hospital. Hima and her friend Manitha follow the ambulance, but to no avail. There was not any patient named Sanjay admitted in the hospital. Hima comes to know the truth about Sanjay and his past. He is a rogue and assassin. She moves away from the city without informing anyone.

Bhaskar and Hima decide to get married because of Sanjay emotionally blackmailing her. When Hima and Bhaskar were about to get married, Sanjay and his parents come to Hima's house. The wedding is cancelled. Hima goes with Sanjay to retrieve a bag for him, but Sanjay plans to kill Hima. Bhaskar saves Hima, but Sanjay and Manitha get killed. Hima and Shivani finally cancel their trip to Canada and reunite with Bhaskar and Aadhi.

===Plagiarism controversy===
The song "I Love You Mummy" in the film was alleged to be a copy of an Arabic song "I Love You Mamma" by [[Hala Al Turk]]. Film director Siddique stated: {{quote|Yes, the visuals are inspired from the Arabic song I Love You Mamma. However, the songs, their lyrics and music are entirely different; only the theme is the same ... I happened to watch the Arabic song, I Love You Mamma, and I felt the visuals and the setting can be used in this one as well. In fact, the situations in both the songs are similar. Like in the album, in this song sequence too the daughter is appeasing her mother when she is in distress. I got inspired after watching the video. ==Plot==
Balan K. Nair ([[Dulquer Salmaan]]), who calls himself BKN, is a reporter in a famous daily based in Bangalore. After insulting his ex-girlfriend on Facebook in a drunken state, Balan feels like his life is not in sync. He is the "loser" of his family, since his brother Rocky K. Nair; (also played by Dulquer Salmaan) is a successful doctor. He left his parents' house to become a columnist. He lives with his close aid Ummar ([[Sekhar Menon]]), who is a foodie and an avid computer gamer. One day, Balan meets Sheela ([[Nithya Menen]]) when they both get into a taxi at the same time. Balan sees her and instantly falls in love. As the taxi drives away, Balan sees Sheela's bag lying on the floor. Inside the bag, there is an old camera with photos of certain places and certain people in Bangalore. Balan and Ummer use the pictures as clues to try to find Sheela.

Just as Balan begins to lose hope, he meets Sheela at a hospital by chance, where Sheela reveals that she already knows Balan. Apparently, Balan was her bully back when they were in school, and she was also the reason that the whole school ended up hating him and calling him a Loser. He immediately tries to avoid Sheela in the future. However, she keeps meeting him and poses as his girlfriend in his ex-girlfriend's marriage. Due to this, he is avoided from an embarrassing situation and doesn't lose face in front of his elder brother and his ex-girlfriend. He realizes that she is good-natured and they become very good friends.

After a series of meetings & sights, at one of the meeting Balan invites Sheela to a candle-light dinner, where all the comical & embarrassing situations happen which in turn closens their bondage. Balan cooks food & hosts a date-like dinner party to impress Sheela. They start to enjoy the meal. Eventually they both begin to talk & Balan starts enquiring Sheela about her future endeavours & there he gets to know some interesting things about her, that she is enjoying life after her studies & also learns about her boyfriend Rahul & her thoughts about marriage & love. Then after the dinner, Balan hands over the lost camera to Sheela, she is delighted & ends up warmly hugging Balan & asks him to join the party that she's attending on the eve of new year. Balan overwhelmingly accepts the invitation & says he's been eagerly waiting to join her & both of them leave to the party.

After reaching the pub, Balan parks the car near a tree & both of them get down to enjoy the party. But in the meantime they realise that Ummar hasn't reached yet, then Balan calls Ummar on a phone, while Sheela goes missing & Balan goes in search of her,but doesn't find her. After a while near the other end of the parking space, Balan finds Sheela who is throwing up & he's really shocked to watch her vomit as it surprises him, but gazing at her Balan feels sorry & confirms if she is ok.

After a while when Sheela turns behind, she's shocked to find Balan missing. While she walks further towards the same place where they parked their car, while she listens to a man vomiting & a group of people anxiously watching him, Sheela too looks over & she is surprised to make out that it is Balan. Later they are seen in a hospital where doctor confirms the reason for their vomiting bouts as "Food Poisoning".

Later Balan lying on hospital bed apologizes Sheela, yet she acts reluctant & ignorant. Balan is distraught, suddenly crackers light up outside on the eve of new year, Balan wishes Sheela & waits for her reply. Finally after few moments, Sheela greets him back & Balan's immediate impetus to choke makes them smile, such comical situations indeed help both of them become yet great friends & Balan develops a strong bond towards Sheela.

Balan helps Sheela to take all the photos of places where her parents fell in love. For the last photo they need to find the old scooter. Balan finds the scooter and they take all the photos and Balan drops Sheela and takes the camera from her and tells her he will edit and give. That night Balan sees Rahul ([[Rahul Madhav]]) proposing to Sheela. Balan feels upset and lost as he has started loving her again. In the meantime Balan in drunken state comes to Sheelas' house & somehow Sheela saves Balan from falling in the eyes of her parents, but to their faith, next day morning Balan is seen lying on the floor at their house by Sheelas' parents. Later, he is relieved by Sheelas' father & Balan goes on for a coffee with Sheela & Rahul that evening. There he tries to talk to Rahul, but Rahul ends up being extremely possessive and haughty. Balan tries to win Sheela back, but she says she believes in arranged marriages and does not care about love.

At the same time, Ummer tells Balan that he must go to the U.S to work with his dad. Balan's life spirals out of control. He begins to drink excessively, and Sheela becomes worried for Balan. On Sheela's parents' 25th anniversary, Balan forgets to bring the photos as this is the gift Sheela was planning to give her parents. Balan reaches on time but Sheela still shouts at him. When the presentation is displayed she realizes that she was included in all the photos along with her parents, which comes as a surprise for her. Later she regrets scolding Balan and goes to apologize a drunken Balan. He tells that it is easy for him to become like Rahul, however he plans to stay "original'. He also tells Sheela that he will come the next morning with the scooter if she was ready to come with him. Next day, Balan plans to go and tells Ummar to give the scooter back but he forgets about what he told the previous night. An excited Sheela comes running out hearing the sound of the scooter expecting Balan but she is disappointed to see only Ummar. They both have a conversation and they head to the railway station where Sheela confesses her love for Balan, and they both live happily ever after.

== Plot ==
Athaniparampil Balachandran (Balan) is an ordinary family man, living with his wife Radhika, two children, his younger brother and father, a locally respected retired postmaster. Balan struggles to balance his professional life amidst his multiple interests, which includes amateur theater and a penchant for helping others, including strangers. Nevertheless, he leads a cheerful life, with the support of his loving family, and has earned the status of being a major figure in the local society, earning the pet name "Balettan" (Balan the elder brother).

However, his good-samaritanism, amateur interests and carelessness leads to circumstances that leave him deep in debt and he even gets arrested for cheating. His father bails him out of the problems with his pension savings, and expects Balan to become more responsible towards his family. An unexpected cardiac arrest leaves Balan's father in the hospital, and right before his death, he confides in Balan about having another wife and daughter, and asks him to take care of them, without letting the rest of his accepted family or villagers knowing about the matter.

After his father's death, Balachandran tries to realign his life between the two families and struggles in it. His family starts suspecting him of having an affair, as he is spotted with his half-sister. Amid the chaos, a stranger named Bhadran comes into Balan's life with sinister intentions, and blackmails him, with an eye on his half-sister. The rest of the story tells how Balan manages to solve his problems, including Bhadran's threats and getting his second family accepted in the society.

==Synopsis==

On receiving news that her father is admitted in hospital, Lalitha returns to Kerala with her daughter from Mumbai. Her husband Sukumaran was a journalist in Mumbai and was killed few years ago by an underworld don, Robert d'Souza, for publishing news against his illegal smuggling activities. Now as his deals have been on a diminishing note, Robert had returned to Kerala with his remaining valuables. However, Kerala police had received information on his arrival via bus, and he was chased by police. Robert manages to escape from the bus and snatches a bike on the way. The bike skids off the road and Robert has an injury. Police search for him in the nearby vicinity where they found the bike. Coincidentally it happens to be the neighbourhood of Lalitha's house. Unaware of the same, Robert breaks into Lalitha's house. Though police arrive for searching Lalitha's house, she assuredly tells them that Robert has not broken into her house. Owing to this, the police leave without searching.

Lalitha then goes to hospital, and returns by evening. She then traces the presence of someone in the house. In order to escape from the stranger in the house, she runs to the car. However Robert follows her to the car. Robert tries to prevent her from moving. Lalitha bangs him on his head with a torch, and as he is dead, she drops the corpse in the beach and returns as if nothing had happened.

Vijaya Chandran, a businessman follows Lalitha. Though she is not happy in meeting him, he follows her. Once he visits Lalitha's father and introduces him as Sukumaran's friend in Mumbai. He also reveals a proposal to Lalitha, which she denies. He then reveals to Lalitha what good friends they were. He is an IPS officer in Mumbai fighting against the underworld. However, after the death of Sukumaran, he is quite a bit down in his approach. She is also informed that Robert is not dead and is still following her. Whether they succeed against Robert concludes the story.

== Plot Synopsis ==

Maya, a labour officer sees her ex-lover, Jayadevan who ditched her. She bore a child with him. Jayadevan from unfortunate circumstances wasn't able to get in touch with Maya and didn't know they had a child together from their relationship. Years later, they are neighbors, Jayadevan is a widowed factory owner, Maya is a labour officer who has to conduct regular inspections at the factory as a part of her work. They both are single parents with a child that looks alike. The film explores whether Maya and Jayadevan be able to rekindle their love.

==Plot==
The film focuses on Mappila bullock cart driver Khader ([[Mammootty]]), a retired corporal and World War I veteran, and Unni Krishnan ([[Suresh Gopi]]), a hardline nationalist revolutionary from a family of upper-caste Hindu Nair landlords. Both men join the brigade of [[Variyan Kunnathu Kunjahammed Haji]] ([[T. G. Ravi]]), one of the prominent leaders of the 1921 Uprising.

The plot gradually introduces a variety of characters, representing the South Malabar society of the 1920s. The film also touches various social dilemmas which led to the 1921 Uprising, the atrocities committed by the British army and the rebels during the events and the eventual collapse of the rebel unity and organisation.

The screenplay was written by physical education teacher-turned-scriptwriter [[T. Damodaran]]. Rajan ([[Mammootty]]) is successful in his job, but his family life is not so happy. His wife, Nalini, ([[Unnimary]]) aspires to receive a fellowship to [[Harvard University]] in the [[United States]], leaving behind her husband and child, Babumon. When his father, Madhavan ([[Balan K. Nair]]), a retired school teacher, is down with an ailment, Rajan, along with his family, returns to his ancestral home. Rajan's elder sister, Vishalam ([[Shubha (actress)|Shubha]]), younger sister, Seethalakshmi and husband Padmanabhan ([[Lalu Alex]]) also arrive to meet their father, as his health condition is serious. Madhavan's daughters and in-laws are busy in their own ways, as they don't wish to spend many days with their dying father. In his sickness, Madhavan expresses his wish to meet his niece, Ammukutty ([[Seema (actress)|Seema]]). Ammu arrives and takes care of her dying uncle. Madhavan's children except for Rajan leave as Ammu is there to look after their father. Rajan remembers his young days of romance with Ammu.

Rajan and Ammu wish to marry each other. Ammu, an elementary school teacher, encourages him and sponsors him to enroll for [[Master of Business Administration|Master's degree in Business Administration]] from the prestigious [[CUSAT|Cochin University]]. Rajan meets Anil Kumar ([[Mohanlal]]) at the University. Rajan secures a good job once he completes the course. But then, Rajan's boss Balachandran ([[Janardhanan (actor)|Janardhanan]]), who is Madhavan's disciple, wishes to marry his daughter Nalini to Rajan. Madhavan, in spite of knowing his son's and Ammu's love, insists that Rajan marry Nalini. Helplessly, Rajan obeys his father. Ammukutty desperately starts living alone separately in her house thereafter and continues her job.

Nalini goes to town from her ancestral home to attend her interview with Harvard University. Busy with his job, Rajan also wants to leave. Upon Ammu's request, he leaves his son with her. Babumon and Ammu become close and they spend those days happily.

Nalini passes the interview and is all set to go to the US. Knowing her son's relation with Ammu, she asks Rajan to bring Ammu as a servant to look after her son when she's away in the USA. Rajan tells her Ammu is the one who spent money for his higher studies. Nalini later tries to return the amount of money which Ammu spent for her husband. Ammu remorsefully shouts at her. Understanding his wife's fault, Rajan slaps her and reveals their unfruitful love story. Ammukutty later feels sorry for her words and advises Nalini.

Nalini repents for her rudeness and wishes to stay back in India with her family. But upon Ammu's insistence, telling not to lose a great opportunity, Rajan and Nalini unanimously decide to get Nalini to fly to the US for her fellowship. Madhavan's health slowly recovers. Rajan, Nalini and son happily go back, leaving Ammukutty again in her loneliness.

Mikhael ([[Innocent (actor)|Innocent]]) is a family man and good Christian who lives in the mostly tranquil village of Odaangara, with his wife Aleyamma ([[KPAC Lalitha]]). They have two daughters, Mollykutty ([[Ranjini (actress)|Ranjini]]) and Susie and a son, Kuttappan. They have been involved in a long-standing dispute with their neighbour, Kanjirappalli Paappan ([[Prathapachandran]]), who wants to buy their land so that his bungalow would have a better front view and a road for his car. Paappan's ruthless son, Jimmy ([[Babu Antony]]) is all for ejecting them by force, while Paappan is wary of what Aleyamma's siblings, the Uppukandam Brothers, who are infamous thugs, might do in retaliation. When negotiations fail, Paappan resorts to underhanded tactics and scuttles Mollykutty's marriage proposal to Kuzhiyil Joy ([[Ravi Vallathol]]) and beats up Mikhael who questions it. Aleyaamma get her brothers involved, and Paappan and his son are beaten and humiliated by the Uppukandam brothers, led by Korah ([[Sukumaran]]) the eldest. Later, Joy visits Mollykutty and expresses his interest in her.

Meanwhile, 'Kottayam' Kunjachan ([[Mammotty]]), an erstwhile thug, has just been released from jail. He has served a sentence of 7 years, for killing a man in a fight gone bad. He makes a dramatic entrance to Kottayam town and goes to collect his promised compensation. After an altercation with his previous employers, he is arrested and later bailed out by his guardian, a Christian priest ([[Jose Prakash]]) who found him as an infant in a garbage heap, and raised him as his own. Following his father's advice, he leaves Kottayam and its bad influences for Odaangara. He starts a technical institute, accompanied by Bosco ([[Baiju (actor)|Baiju]]), his assistant. He generally endears himself to the village populace. It is there that he meets Mikhael and his wife, and gets in their good books by rescuing Mollykutty from a kidnap attempt by Jimmy and the gang. Aleyamma convinces Mikhael to rent out their outhouse to Kunjachan, as a deterrent from further attacks by Paappan or Jimmy. Mikhael then convinces Kunjachan to go to confession, and start living as a good Christian.

Kunjachan takes a liking to Molly, who despises him for his past. However, when her parents attempt her to coerce her into another marriage, Molly has Susie enlist Kunjachan's help to scuttle it, which he does masterfully. Kunjachan assumes that she returns his affections. His attempts to talk to Molly are mistaken for a rape attempt by Aleyamma. Mikhael throws him out and Kunjachan is too shocked to react. He is later beaten up by the Uppukandam brothers. Molly doesn't intervene, and she is reprimanded by Susie who realizes that Molly has used Kunjachan. Shortly afterwards, Mikhael and Korah are ambushed and killed by Jimmy and Kunjachan is the prime suspect. Kunjachan goes into hiding, and angrily confronts Molly and Susie when he gets an opportunity. Molly is aghast that Joy never showed up in her time of need and throws herself at Kunjachan's mercy. He learns that Aleyamma is missing, and Kuttappan, her son has gone in search. He convinces them that he is innocent, and goes off to find Aleyamma. He manages to rescue her and her son from Jimmy's thugs, but returns to find Molly and Susie missing and the rest of the Uppukandam brothers on the scene. They learn after beating up Paappan that the women have been taken to their plantation by Jimmy, and mount a rescue mission.

Molly and Susie are rescued in the nick of time by Kunjachan, who consoles Molly after her near-rape by Jimmy. The next morning, Kunjachan is visited at his institute by the Brothers. He fears another confrontation, but they reveal that they are there to propose Molly's marriage to Kunjachan.

In 2017 [[Midhun Manuel Thomas]] announced that the film will have a sequel under the production of [[Friday Film House]]. Later in Jan 2020, he said he is dropping the sequel idea, because of the lack of a story idea to prove justice to the original film.

==Production==
The screenplay was loosely based on a novel titled 'Veli' written by [[Muttathu Varkey]]. The protagonist character Kunjachan, played by Mammootty, was adapted from the antagonist character of the same name in the novel. It was Muttathu Varkey's literary style that inspired the makers to feature the Kottayam accent in the movie. Varkey wrote his novel in a complete regional dialect.
As a person who hails from [[Ettumanoor]] village of Kottayam district, screenwriter [[Dennis Joseph]] felt writing dialogues for characters easy and familiar to his native style. According to Joseph, the five years long graduate education at Deva Matha College, [[Kuravilangad]] and the hostel life of there also helped him to form the dialogues more truthfully. He said that the character of 'Kuttappayi' from the film ''[[Sangham (1988 film)|Sangham]] (1987)'' was also created by him in the same pattern.
[[Mammootty]] whose native place also belongs to the Kottayam district could be brought in the accent with perfection. Mammootty said, "I am from the northern edge of Kottayam. Therefore the accent has never influenced me, but I have absorbed it." Mammootty received the whole script from Dennis Joseph before the filming began.

Though the plot is based on Kottayam, the producer [[M. Mani]] wanted to shoot the film in [[Thiruvananthapuram]]. The makers found the village [[Amboori]], near [[Neyyattinkara]] in Thiruvanathapuram district. The place was exactly look-alike a village in Kottayam with the features resembling such as [[Rubber tree|rubber]] and [[black pepper]] plantations, big churches, unpaved roads, etc. The place was shot as 'Odaangara', the fictional village in the film.<ref name="kk">{{cite web

==Synopsis==
The story revolves around Johnny ([[Murali (Malayalam actor)|Murali]]) and Annie ([[Madhavi (actress)|Madhavi]]), a married couple who had both grown up together in an orphanage. They fell in love and got married. The couple have four children; the eldest being a teenage girl named Meenu, twin boys Rony and Tony, and the youngest Monu, a toddler. Rony and Tony are about 8 years old and are very close to each other. Rony is physically handicapped. Johnny is a jeep driver by profession and Annie a violin teacher. Though the family struggles to live and make ends meet, they lead a happy life together, except for the moments when Johnny, a recurrent alcoholic spends most of his daily earnings at the local [[toddy shop|toddy]] shop. During an altercation between Johnny and the local milk delivery man Keshavan ([[N. F. Varghese|N F Varghese]]), the latter is humiliated in front of his family. Keshavan therefore decides to take revenge on Johnny.

One day, he sees Johnny's son Tony riding a bicycle on his way home. Keshavan increases the speed of the van he is driving and knocks Tony off the road. Some bystanders bring the injured Tony to the hospital. Despite being in a not so critical condition, Tony has lost a lot of blood and requires blood transfusion. While looking for suitable donors, it is discovered that Annie's blood sample has some abnormal characteristics and she cannot donate her blood. After further analysis, it is revealed that Annie is suffering from a late stage of [[leukaemia]] and that she only has a couple of months to a year to live. The news shocks both Johnny and Annie. Johnny reforms from his alcoholic demeanor and becomes more responsible. However, as fate takes a turn, one day when Johnny is on his way home with medicine for Annie, he gets into a fight with Keshavan and is killed. Annie is devastated but remains strong willed to take care of the family. She deeply worries about the future of her children. She does not want her children to grow up in an orphanage like she and Johnny did, growing up with the label as orphans. She decides to give her children up for adoption. She lies to her kids that the money she gets out of her classes is not sufficient for them to live and therefore she is going to Germany very soon, so they have to go to new houses and there will be new parents to love and take care of them. By now Meenu has come to know about her mother's condition and asks her about it. Annie is totally broken down. Both of them keeps this a secret between them.

Annie, with the help of the priest of their church – Father Vattappara ([[Nedumudi Venu]]) – makes arrangements for the adoption of the kids. Monu is adopted by a leading Doctor. Annie wishes that both her boys Rony and Tony live together forever and hence expects a couple to adopt both of them. But they find it difficult to get people ready to accept the disabled boy. Finally, Annie decides to give Tony to a wealthy businessman and his wife ([[Jose Pellissery]] and [[Bindu Panicker]]). Meenu decides not to go to a new house and be with her Mum, but Annie and Father Vattappara convince her for the same. She is taken by a rich old man and his wife (Thikkurissi and Aranmula Ponnamma) to their home. The only one left is Rony, the handicapped child. Annie and father Vattappara try hard to find someone to take care of him. Mean time Annie's doctor give her a hint that days are counted for her. She wishes to celebrate Christmas at her home with her kids and makes arrangements for it. She writes a letter to Meenu asking her to always keep in touch with her brothers so that the bond between the siblings remains forever. On the day before Christmas, Annie dreams that all her children have come to see her. She wakes up and happily runs to the door, only to realize that was a dream. She starts bleeding from her nose and understands that there isn't much time left for her, she prays in front of the [[Crucifix]] begging for a day more to live so that she can see her kids for the last time. She finds real blood flowing from the wounds of [[Jesus]] in the Cross and realizes that death has come for her. Later that night Rony finds her dead.

At her funeral, all her children and their newly adopted parents are there and after she is buried, the children and their families tearfully part ways, except for Rony who is about to be taken by Father Vattappara to the orphanage. The movie ends with Tony's adopted parents coming back, and Tony jumps out of the car and runs to Rony and the two embracing each other, as Tony's adopted father was moved during the farewell and agreed to take in Rony as well.

As a sequel to the movie, a serial with the same name started on 24 October 2011 on [[Surya TV]].

[[Chippy (actress)|Chippi]] played the character of [[Madhavi (actress)|Madhavi]]'s daughter named 'Meenu'. Apart from her, [[K. P. A. C. Lalitha]], [[Sukumari]], [[Prem Prakash]], [[Seema G. Nair]] played the lead roles. The song in the film 'Raapaadee Kezhunnuvo...' was used as the title song of the serial with the film clips as visuals. The story of the serial revolves around the reunion of the 4 siblings (Meenu, Ronnie, Tony & Monu). Also, they showed [[Jose Prakash]] in a special appearance on 25 Jan 2012, 26 Jan 2012 and, 17 Feb 2012. The serial ended on 4 October 2013 with a total of 501 episodes. ==Synopsis==
The story takes place in a remote village in the [[Kerala]] Highranges. Solomon ([[Dileep (actor)|Dileep]]), the son of the village [[sexton (office)|sexton]], Geevarghese ([[Vijayaraghavan (actor)|Vijayaraghavan]]), a simple soul who is quiet in nature and fears virtually everything around, thus earning the nickname Kunjaadu (little lamb). His mother, Mary ([[Vinaya Prasad]]), was Ittichan's ([[Innocent (actor)|Innocent]]) crush. He named his daughter Mary ([[Bhavana (Malayalam actress)|Bhavana]]) after Solomon's mother. He wanted Solomon to love his daughter dearly and then he would marry her to some other person so that he gets to know the pain that he felt when he lost his love. He promises the church that he will give another cross made out of gold to the church if Solomon marries some other girl but if he wants to marry his daughter then Solomon must give a cross to church. Mary has been in love with Solomon right from their childhood days. Meanwhile, a man ([[Biju Menon]]), who looks like a thug, comes to Solomon's house and Solomon, who is overjoyed at getting some fearless company, gets the man accepted by his whole family under the illusion that he is his long-lost brother Jose. He does so much for the family and gets involved in agriculture and develops the family's living. Later, Solomon finds that there is more to his so called brother than he thought initially, and that he killed a girl and was imprisoned for seven years. Finally he finds out that Jose has stolen the cross and hid it in Solomon's land seven years ago and has returned to retrieve it. Solomon warns his family that even if he is their brother, they should be alert or else he'll burn down the house. His parents don't take it seriously but later when the family is away, Jose burns the house down and everyone thinks it is Solomon who did it. Solomon later finds out that Jose's old friend, who also wants the golden cross, was the one who killed the girl, who was actually Jose's lover. A fight occurs between Solomon and both the thieves. Jose's friend gets beaten up and rings the church bell telling that he got the cross and saves Jose by telling that he was the one who help him capture the thief, and because Solomon always considered him as a brother. Everyone is happy and Ittichan gives his daughter's hand to Solomon.

==Plot==

The story is set in a picturesque landscape in a village called "Krishnapuram". The two tharavadus (parentages) named Puthezhathu and Kizhakkedathu are situated in the same compound, and their members share a very great bonding with each other. The film begins with the celebration of [[Onam]] festival by the inmates of both the houses. Kizhakkedathu tharavadu's karanavar Krishna Warrier's eldest son Rajan is in love with one of the girls there but his marriage is fixed with Saraswathy ([[Lena (actress)|Lena]]), daughter of Sankaran Nair, the karanavar of Puthezhath family. Rajan and the girl elopes, and Saraswathy is later found dead in a quarry, apparently a suicide. Puthezhathu family believes that Kizhakkedathu family has cheated them, and thus they beat up Rajan, but Krishna Warrier comes to rescue him and also pulls him up on to the train, saying that he should never return. As years pass, Krishnanunni, the hero of the story, is born to Rajan.

Rajan, along with his wife and children, now lives in [[Tenkasi]] in [[Tamil Nadu]]. He is now indulged in agriculture. He is assisted by his son Krishnanunni. During a clash in the market, the local thief Kalidas is beaten by Krishnanunni/Kuttan and his friend Vadivelu/Pottan, and is sacked and taken back in a bullock cart. Unfortunately, Kalidas escapes from the sack by jumping into a canal. When Unni and Vadivelu come to know about this, they tell their gang to beat him. Unfortunately, the sack was changed, and it was Ayyappan Nair, the former Karyasthan of Kizhakkedathu family, who was under it. Ayyappan Nair tells Rajan about the impact caused by his elope and Saraswathy's death on the two families. Both are now sworn enemies, and they have built up walls around their homes. There also happened a lawsuit between them, in which Kizhakkedathu family failed. It was the members of Puthezhathu family who beat Ayyappan Nair because he supported Kizhakkedathu and sacked him to Tenkasi. Unni then tells Rajan that he would go to pacify the two quarrelling families.

Then, Unni and Vadivelu reach Krishnapuram, but suddenly they find Kalidas at Kizhakkedathu tharavadu and is shocked to hear that he has been appointed as the karyasthan of Kizhakkedathu tharavadu. Kalidas had reached there the previous night, and Krishna Warrier, who mistook him as the karyasthan whom Ayyappan Nair told, appointed him. Kalidas has a plan to steal an idol of Lord [[Krishna]] from Kizhakkedathu tharavadu, and he traps Unni and Vadivelu by handing the idol to them. Krishna Warrier later comes and unknowing that Unni is his grandson, calls his workers and beat Unni and Vadivelu. Later, they reach Puthezhathu tharavadu and get job as karyasthan (manager) and watchman respectively. The plan is approved by Sankaran Nair soon, and Kumaran, the former karyasthan, is declassified as an out-worker.

Unni later tries to solve conflicts between the two families. It is during this time that the female lead, Sreebala enters. Vadivelu first flirts with her, but after hearing that she is also a member of Puthezhath family, he allows her to enter the home. Unni also interferes in Sreebala's college dance, changing the tune of her dance song. She later dances for the same tune. On the same day, she is harassed by Anand, the son of Kizhakkedathu Sreedharan, a businessman. Krishnanunni saves her, but lies that it was Anand's father who saved her. Later, the stolen idol of Lord Krishna is found in a gravel, near the paddy fields of both families.

Soon Krishnanunni begins his mission to unite the two families, his mission becomes a great success and it soon culminates in a marriage proposal between Anandh and Sreedevi, the sister ot Sreebala, but Sreedevi confess to Krishnanunni that she is in love with a serial actor named Aby George, who is a [[Christians|Christian]], and would end her life is she is forced into marrying Anand. Krishnanunni and Sreebala helps Sreedevi to elope with her boyfriend which creates further trouble in the family, and after knowing that Krishnanunni is Rajan's son, the Puthezhathu and Kizhakeddathu families break ties once again, but this time, Kizhakedathu family support Krishnanunni and welcomes Rajan back home.

The rift between the families is cleared when Krishnanunni finds out that Rajan's old friend Susheelan and his driver Gopalan were responsible for Saraswathi's death, and it was a planned murder. Both the families unite once again for killing Susheelan and Sreebala and Krishnanunni get married.

== Plot==
The movie tells the story of a village called Chembattunadu in [[Palakkad district]] of Kerala, which is popular as Chattambinadu for the presence of several goons and hooligans. According to retired goons Chenkeeri Madhavan ([[T. G. Ravi]]) and Vadival Vasu ([[Janardhanan (actor)|Janardanan]]), it was the severe animosity between Mallanchira and Kattappilly families that has caused the arrival of several goons to the land, including them, which made Chattambinadu notorious. The film begins with Mallanchira Chandramohan's ([[Manoj K. Jayan]]) plan to sell off his mansion, to pay up his heavy debts. But Kattappilly Nagendran ([[Siddique (actor)|Siddique]]), plays all ways to stop the sale. The local police inspector (Saju kodiyan) informs Chandramohan about Virendra Mallaya ([[Mammootty]]), a popular rich man with strong criminal background, who also has strong passion in real estate. Chandramohan approaches Mallayya, who refuses to take up the mansion in the beginning. But upon the request from Dr.Lakshmi ([[Meenakshi (actress)|Meenakshi]]), his friend, who also hails from Chattambinadu, he decides to buy the property, inviting strong opposition from Nagendran. Mallayya, who speaks Malayalam with strong [[Kannada]] accent, arrives at Chattambinadu along with Murukan ([[Vinu Mohan]]), his secretary, who is also more like his brother. At Chattambinadu, he comes across Vadival Vasu and his family consisting of daughters Gowri ([[Raai Laxmi]]) and Meenakshi([[Mythili]]). To create a rift among the villagers and Mallaya, under the instruction, Dashamoolam Damu ([[Suraj Venjarammood]]), a foolish assistant of Nagendran, on one night steals the lorry of Mallayya and drives it into the house of Vasu, demolishing it. However Mallayya promises to repair the house with his own money. Murugan, who within this time had developed a soft feeling towards Meenakshi, takes them along with Maakri Gopalan ([[Salim Kumar]]) to Mallayya's house. Dr. Lakshmi on her day of arrival at Chattambinadu on vacation comes to know from her brother that Nagendran has decided to marry her, without the approval of her parents. Shocked Lakshmi even witnesses Nagendran violently thrashing her fiancé, making him flee. Lakshmi explains her condition to Mallayya, who promises her all help. Gowri, who witnesses their conversation mistakes them of being in love. She gets jealous as she had within this time fell in love with him. Chandramohan, on a casual talk, tells Mallayya, about Veeru, his servant boy, who had once attacked his father Mallanchira Unnithan ([[Vijayaraghavan (actor)|Vijayaraghavan]]) and ran away with all his hard earned money. Chandramohan also adds that his only aim in life is to find out Veeru and avenge him by killing him for the crime done to his father. Veerendra Mallaya, on hearing this story is really shocked as he is none other than Veeru, who had once ran away. Chandramohan, on understanding the relation between Meenakshi and Murugan, approaches Mallayya to get them married. Also Vasu wants Mallayya to marry Gowri, his elder daughter. One night Mallayya reveals his story to Vasu, whom he had assaulted with sword in a bid to escape years back. Unnithan had got Veeru, a Kannadiga [[street urchin]], who understood not a single world in [[Malayalam]]. Unnithan and his family took care of him well and treated him as their own son. One day, in middle of a trip, Unnithan gets into an argument with Kattapilly Kuruppu, who tries to snatch the suitcase consisting of a huge amount of money. In an attempt to save Unnithan Veeru attacks Kuruppu and on the advice of Unnithan, runs away with the bag. But on hearing the cry of Unnithan, he comes back to see that Unnithan is severely wounded as attacked by Kattapilly Nagendran, son of Kuruppu. Kuruppu, then calls up people and tells them that it is Veeru who had killed Unithan, making him run for life. In an attempt to save himself, he assaults Vasu and jumps into river. The police inspector ([[Sai Kumar (Malayalam actor)|Sai Kumar]]), who arrests him after a couple of days interrogates in [[Malayalam]], and Veeru, who knows not a single word in Malayalam is confused, where by accepts his charges. But on realising that he is framed, he escapes from police. He also adds that it is Kattappilly Kuruppu, who is behind the crime. Mallaya is also shocked to find Unnithan at the house of Chandramohan, who is alive, but now paralysed, who also had lost the ability to speak after the incident.

Nagendran, at the meantime, has gone forward with his plan to marry Lakshmi, but is saved by Mallaya, who gets her married to her fiancé. Mallaya is shocked to see the old police inspector, who is now the father of the husband of Laksmi. He shows his willingness to help Mallayya to reveal the truth to Chandramohan, but is killed by Nagendran on the same night. The people of Chattambinadu, within this time recognises who Mallayya is and is waiting for his arrival to get him killed. Nagendran expands his net and gets the crowd gather at the spot where Mallayya arrives. The rest of the story is how Mallayya succeeds in proving his innocence and get Nagendran killed by the public.

==Plot==
Azhagappan a successful hotelier and father of four small children has lost his wife (whose face is not shown in the photo) in an accident. College student Swapna plays pranks on him and also falls in love with him, but Azhagappan refuses her love considering the age difference between them. After passing matriculation exam, Azhagappan enrolls in a tutorial centre where his teacher Kanmani is smitten by him, but Azhagappan is not interested in her. Classical dancer Priya Ranjan and Azhagappan though, fall in love. After egos and differences crop up between them, Driver Santhanam blurts out the truth that the four children are the orphans adopted by him. In the end, Swapna understands the situation and would love to call him as "Daddy". With the help of Kanmani and Swapna, the four children devise a plan and play mediator between Azhagan and Priya by making them speak on the phone. In the end, both reveal their love through the phone and get united in the end.
