==Plot==
This movie was a tribute to [[R. D. Burman]]. ''Jhankaar Beats'' is a story about love, friendship, and music.

Deep ([[Sanjay Suri]]) is happily married to Shanti ([[Juhi Chawla]]), with a little daughter Muskaan and another baby on the way. Rishi ([[Rahul Bose]]) is his best friend and colleague at an advertising agency. Rishi is a little immature and stubborn and this keeps on causing fights at home with his equally headstrong lawyer wife Nicky ([[Rinke Khanna]]). Rishi and Deep are dedicated musicians, obsessive about the music of R.D. Burman. They play at a club sometimes and compete in an annual pop music contest called "Jhankaar Beats" which they have lost for the past two years.

Rishi has been kicked out of his house by Nicky and the two are considering getting a divorce. Deep's nagging mother-in-law has come for a two-month visit. The men are under pressure to get an advertising campaign ready for a new client, an oddball condom manufacturer. Around this time they meet Neel ([[Shayan Munshi]]), who is the son of their boss Mr. Kapoor and is joining the company. Neel is an ace guitarist who has his own problems — he is attracted to a pretty girl, Preeti ([[Riya Sen]]) but cannot muster the courage to talk to her. To make things worse, his father has decided that he is wasting his life and has given him an ultimatum — find a girl in two months or settle down with a wife his parents choose. Rishi and Deep, though they tease him mercilessly, grow very fond of Neel, and he has a sure ally in Shanti. Shanti, meanwhile, is trying to get Rishi to see sense and make up with Nicky.

Rishi and Deep amidst hilarious situations eventually end up making Neel talk to Preeti, while also making sure they practice for the upcoming Jhankaar Beats competition. Meanwhile, Rishi gets a good offer to work outside the country but decides against it as he feels he wants to give another chance to him and Nicky.

Right before the competition, Rishi sees Nicky being comforted by her lawyer and decides that Nicky doesn't want him any more, and takes up that job abroad. On the day of the competition, he is leaving for the airport, much to the anger and disappointment of Deep, who had considered Rishi a brother and is now leaving him.

On the way to the airport, the taxi plays an R.D Burman song on the radio and Rishi realizes he is actually leaving his family. Deep and Neel on the way to the competition are surprised by Rishi turning up, and they decide to do a cover of an R.D Burman song for their performance, regardless of the outcome.

The film ends by showing Deep, Rishi and Neal having won the competition finally, and forming a band. Rishi eventually puts his ego aside and apologizes to Nicky. Deep becomes a father and names his son after their idol.

==Plot==
Akaash Kapoor ([[Kartik Aaryan|Kartik Tiwari]]) is a bold and fun-loving young man, while Vani Mehra ([[Nushrat Bharucha]]) is a conservative but friendly girl. They are both accepted in the same college in [[Delhi]], and after a series of adventures, soon become friends, forming part of a group of four.
Akaash and Vani eventually fall in love and embark on a four-year relationship, which is kept secret from Vani's traditional parents.

As their final year comes to an end, Akaash decides to go to [[United Kingdom|UK]] for his further studies. Vani returns to her hometown [[Dehradun]] to attend her sister's [[wedding]], after which she plans to study for an M.B.A. She tells her sister about her relationship with Akaash, but her sister reacts negatively, saying that their parents would not approve. The next day, amidst the wedding preparation, Vani finds out that her sister has eloped with another man, who she was in love with but was not accepted by her parents. Vani's parents are heartbroken and have to endure the shame of their neighbours and community. In the fear of society's response, they decide to get Vani married to the son of an acquaintance. Pressured by her parents and feeling guilt over her sister's actions, Vani reluctantly agrees. She emotionally ends things with Akaash via a phone call and requests him not to try and meet her. Akaash is devastated but slowly becomes bitter and detached with time.

Vani's husband Ravi Sinha ([[Sunny Singh (actor)|Sunny Singh]]) is a charming but controlling man who pressures Vani to have sex, despite her reluctance. Ravi is emotionally abusive and expects Vani to cater to his every need, but pretends to be a perfect husband in front of friends and family. He prevents her from going out, working or furthering her studies, and expects her to be a full-time [[housewife]]. After an argument, Vani returns home and reveals her unhappiness to her parents. However, they send her back to Ravi after he charms them, and ask him to consider starting a family in order to occupy Vani's time. Time goes by and Vani slowly begins losing self-confidence and becomes resigned to her fate. One day, Vani's aunt and uncle unexpectedly come to visit her and suggest that she go back with them for several days to Delhi, in order to attend her college reunion. Ravi is unhappy but reluctantly agrees, since he will also be away for some time on a business trip.

At the college, Vani reunites with her friends, who find her to be reserved and depressed. She also comes across Akaash, who is still bitter and hurt about their break up. He angrily confronts her and she runs away, deciding to return home that night. Her friends meet her at the train station and Akaash finally breaks down and cries, something which he has not allowed himself to do previously. Vani decides to stay. The group spend the week together, during which time they have fun and re-live their college memories. Vani tells Akaash the truth about her marriage but says that she cannot divorce Ravi because her parents won't be able to handle it, especially after her sister eloped. Akaash tells his friend that he hopes to reunite with Vani and plans to fill her days with adventures and happiness. He hopes that this will raise her spirits and give her the courage to leave Ravi. The group travel to Chandigarh where Akaash and Vani spend time alone together and rekindle their romance. The trip is cut short by a phone call from Vani's parents, requesting her to visit them. Conflicted, Vani chooses to return home and emotionally leaves her friends and Akaash behind.

Akaash decides that he can't lose Vani once again and the group follows Vani to her home. They stay happily with Vani's parents until Ravi arrives there, too. Akaash observes the way Vani assumes the role of a subservient wife and how she is ill-treated by her husband. That night, Vani finally realizes that she can no longer live with a man who cannot respect her. In front of Ravi and her friends, she reveals the truth to her parents about the rape and emotional abuse and says that she wants a divorce. They are stunned and try to reason with her but she stands her ground. An argument breaks out and she slaps Ravi, after which he moves to hit her, only to be stopped by Akaash. Ravi realizes that the two are in love and insults Vani's parents. Vani's parents are embarrassed but she defiantly tells them that her happiness is more important than their shame, and leaves the house.

Vani returns to Delhi with her friends, where she is able to finally further her studies and get her M.B.A. degree. She happily divorces Ravi and later marries Akaash.

==Plot==
Arush Mehra ([[Akshay Kumar]]) lives a fairly wealthy lifestyle in [[Sydney|Sydney, Australia]] with roommates Tanmay Joglekar ([[Ritesh Deshmukh]]) and Ali Haider ([[Fardeen Khan]]). Arush works for a popular dance club, while Tanmay entertains children as 'Eddy Teddy', and Ali takes care of their apartment. He mostly watches cricket on the television and places bets on it. All three are womanizers and usually end up sleeping with different women. One day, they find a baby girl (Juanna Sanghvi) outside their door with a note instructing them to take care of her, since one of them is her father. The three men go to all the women they dated and slept with, but none claim the baby as theirs.

The men try to take care of the baby, but she becomes a huge pain. So, they drop her off at a house near a church. Then, they set off for a Christmas party. They are all thinking of the girl. A big rainstorm occurs, and the baby develops pneumonia after being left in the rain. The three men rush the baby to the hospital, realizing how much they love her, and regret their decisions. She recovers, and the three become changed men. They love her, pamper her, and grow an attachment towards her and even apologize to all women they used. They name her Angel due to the miracle that she survived. One morning, a woman named Isha ([[Vidya Balan]]) comes to take Angel back, claiming the baby to be her daughter. The guys are shocked as Arush tells them about his past.

One year ago, Arush travelled to [[Delhi]] to attend his cousin Arjun's wedding. There, he met Isha Sahni, who also resides in Australia. He put up a facade of being a guy with traditional Indian values, won her over and they spent the night together. Shortly after, Isha caught him in a compromising situation with Devika Sharma ([[Sindhura Gadde]]), Isha's friend, so the couple split up. It was not Arush's fault as Devika forced herself on top of him. Arush returned to Sydney and forgot about the incident.

The guys find it very difficult to live without Angel. Arush ends up challenging Isha to marry someone faithful within seven days who will accept Angel as a daughter. If she's unsuccessful, she will have to give Angel back to him. They sign a contract to finalise the deal. The men worry that they might lose the bet since Isha is beautiful and wealthy. Arush plans with Tanmay, Ali, and Bharat, who is Isha's father in order to keep Angel with him.

His first attempt involves Ali posing as a botany professor named Parimal Tripathi who speaks very pure [[Hindi]]. Bharat is impressed by Parimal by this and Angel recognises him as well. They manage to get through a few days of the week until one day Isha asks him about marriage for the next day. After Isha says this, Ali talks to Arush and Tanmay who tell him to go to Disneyland where Ali gets Bharat attacked. He is stopped from further efforts by Tanmay in the 'Eddy Teddy' costume. Bharat decides that Tanmay is the right man for Isha. Tanmay, Arush, and Ali make plans to stop Isha from marrying someone else and tell the truth to Angel about their plans to convince her mother. As the contract is about to terminate, Isha somehow manages to find out the truth that she has been cheated by her father, Tanmay, Ali and most of all Arush.

Isha goes with Angel to her private jet to go somewhere very far because she has lost the deal. As she is about to leave she is stopped by some cops because Ali and Tanmay called them. As they are arguing, Arush turns up showing Isha the contract and tearing it up indicating that Isha now has every right over Angel. But before the three men leave heartbroken, Arush says that a child needs a mother the most but it also needs a father. Just as they are leaving, Angel takes matters in her own hands and says her first word "Dada", but nevertheless Isha takes her away in the aeroplane.

The three men are depressed as they assume that they may never see Angel again until they are surprised to see her on their doorstep.
