==Personal life and Education==
M. Swaraj was born at Pathar, [[Malappuram district|Malappuram]] District. He attended SVHSS Palemad, [[Edakkara]] for his Secondary education. He completed his [[Bachelor of Arts|BA]] in Economics from [[Mar Thoma College, Chungathara]] under the [[University of Calicut]] in 2000. He later pursued an [[Bachelor of Laws|LLB]] degree from [[Kerala Law Academy Law College]], [[Thiruvananthapuram]] in 2004 and a [[Master's degree]] from [[Annamalai University]] in 2007.<ref>[http://docs2.myneta.info/affidavits/ews3kerala2016/168/M%20SWARAJ.PDF "Election affidavit 2016"]</ref>

==Political career==
Swaraj entered politics through student activism.
