The film met with mixed reviews from the critics all over. IBNLive.com gave the film 2 stars out of 5 saying, "The biggest flaw in the film is the climax. It looks as if the director who is also the story writer, does not know anything about networking sites like Facebook. So the way the climax unfolds is utterly laughable". Further it declares that, "On the whole, it looks like Ganesh's performance is the only saving grace of 'Munjaane'. ==Plot==
The film starts with an imprisoned Manja ([[Ganesh (actor)|Ganesh]]) recalling his love for Shyloo ([[Bhama]]) since childhood that becomes more intense as they grow. Though Shyloo's mother assures Manja of getting them married, she changes her mind and arranges for Shyloo to marry a rich family boy. Infuriated, Manja threatens to kill her. He is arrested by the police and given a 30-days prison sentence. Shyloo's mother arranges the marriage a day before his release and Manja escapes from prison. As the police officer Bhaskar and a constable Ramaiah handcuff Manja, Shyloo too goes along with him as they decide to get married after he is released from prison.

On their way, they encounter adventures that include an elephant chasing them and losing their way thereby reaching Kerala. From there, their journey continues, with Bhaskar becoming infuriated with Manja as he is not able to celebrate his 'Deepavali' with his family, busy running behind Manja. A parallel story reveals Bhaskar's annoyed wife Sudha and her brothers troubling Bhaskar to come to their hometown to celebrate Deepavali. However, Bhaskar soon develops a soft corner for Manja as he saves him from a freak bus accident. The four go back together to their hometown. Bhaskar promises to get Manja released within two days and assures to get them married after Manja is released. Ramaiah asks shyloo to stay in his house for shelter.

However, Bhaskar asks Ramaiah to let shyloo stay in his house so that he can take her safe the next day for wedding. On reaching his house, Bhaskar finds Sudha waiting furiously, and she also accuses shyloo for having an illegitimate relationship with Bhaskar. Bhaskar gets angry and scolds his wife, following which she leaves the home. On the next day, Bhaskar, Ramaiah, and Manja on the way to court, find a dead body on the railway track and get shocked, seeing it to be shyloo. Bhaskar finds out that Sudha's brothers arrived at their house immediately and killed shyloo, who they thought to be responsible for the trouble. They then threw her body on a railway track. Upon witnessing this, Manja cries, jumps in front of another train, and dies. Bhaskar feels guilty about the incident and gets angered. He quits his job and goes back to his wife's home, where he kills her and her brothers with a sickle. He voluntarily surrenders and is imprisoned for 20 year-sentence in Manja's cell.

Suraj ([[Ganesh (actor)|Ganesh]]), a funny, talkative, irritating character, bumps into Suma ([[Shradha Arya]]) in a train. She is about to marry Dushyantha, an ASP specialising in dealing with terrorists. Throughout the journey on the train, Suraj attempts to woo her and ends up getting invited to her wedding. He continues to woo her till the last minute but she doesn't fall for him. When Dushyantha is about to tie the knot with Suma, he suddenly walks out of the building dragging Suma along, with everyone including Suraj watching. He then orders Suma and Suraj to get into a jeep and not to stop driving at any cost. He tells everyone about an anonymous phone call about bombs being placed in the jeep and in and outside the building. Although, after checking they realize it was just some LEDs planted and not bombs. Meanwhile, Suraj and Suma's jeep runs out of fuel, so they grab hold of an overhead branch and are saved, but are stuck in a forest. Dushyantha demands his crew to track down the anonymous phone caller. Back in the forest, Suraj and Suma start bonding while finding their way back. Twenty four hours pass without a sign of Suma or Suraj. Dushyantha receives calls from the anonymous caller, who is none other than Suraj. Suma catches him red-handed and Dushyantha identifies the caller. Suraj and Suma reach his village where he reveals about his sister Preeti, who was killed by Dushyantha. He also reveals how corrupt and uncivilized Dushyantha is. Dushyantha then arrives at Suraj's home and reveals to him privately about himself, unaware that he is being filmed. Suraj then plays his video at Dushyantha and Suma's wedding, where Suraj had come to save a little girl from this village from Dushyantha. Dushyantha is arrested. Suma, her family, Suraj, and the little girl are at the train station, where the little girl promises to achieve what Preeti was headed to do (she had been selected to be a part of NASA and was going there when she got shot). Just before the movie finishes Suma and Suraj unite.

== Plot ==
Ramachandra aka Ram (Ganesh) is a travel photographer. He visits his high school and is overcome by memories. So, a reunion is arranged through their school WhatsApp group. At the reunion, his friends Murali (Ravishankar Gowda), Shubha (Joythi Rai) and Sathish (P.D. Sathish Chandra) catch up with him. Murali hesitantly mentions that Jaanu (Ram's childhood sweetheart) is coming from Singapore.

In 1999, Ram and Jaanu have been friends and classmates in tenth grade. Jaanu is a talented singer. Ram develops a love for Jaanu and she reciprocates. Once their board exams are over, they have a moment with each other where Jaanu asks him not to forget her until they meet again after the holidays.

Jaanu (Bhavana) arrives at the reunion and searches for Ram. When Shubha points Ram's location to her, Jaanu walks towards him. She reminisces the first day of 10th grade when she eagerly awaits Ram's arrival to the classroom, but he doesn't show up. She finds that Ram has left the school because his father had financial difficulties and his family relocated to Banglore overnight. Jaanu is inconsolable and pines for Ram until she completes school.

Ram and Jaanu finally meet and find it uncomfortable to interact with each other, but gradually get along. Their friends talk about Jaanu's married life in Singapore and disclose that Ram is still single and has not moved on. After the reunion party, both go out on a drive. Jaanu reveals how she could not forget Ram and would have traded anything just to have met him once back then. She narrates how circumstances forced her to marry someone else. Then, Ram asks Jaanu if she really does not remember the day he came to her college to meet her. Ram says that he and Murali waited in front of Jaanu's college to meet her and passed on a message through a student. Surprisingly, Jaanu refused to meet Ram and forbade him to contact her again. He returned sadly and never tried to meet her since then. Jaanu is devastated listening to this and reveals that she never saw them at her college and thought it was her stalker who was troubling her. Ram tells that except for the mistake of assuming that she hated him, he knew everything about her life. He also tells about seeing her from afar at her wedding. Jaanu is heartbroken because she felt his presence and expected him to come for her until the last minute. Both feel sad about their misfortune and finally come to terms with everything that happened in their lives. Jaanu expresses her desire to spend the final few hours with Ram before she catches the flight back home.

They go out into the city and then to a restaurant and catch up on more memories. There, they meet Ram's photography students who assume Jaanu is his wife and request her to share their story. Jaanu obliges and narrates an improvised version of the time when Ram tried to meet Jaanu at her college. She tells about how they finally met and made up and have been together ever since and got married. Ram feels awkward but tries his best to go along. The students leave and Ram and Jaanu get wet in the rain. So he asks her to visit his apartment to freshen up.

At his apartment, Jaanu is visibly upset that Ram does not have a love life and requests him to move on and get married and have a family. She finally sings Ram's favorite song for him, a song that she had purposefully avoided singing in school in spite of his repeated requests. Ram shows Jaanu a collection of their old memories like love poems, dried flowers and their school uniforms. They realize that time is running out and go back to Jaanu's hotel to get ready for her flight in a few hours. Jaanu is sad knowing that she will leave Banglore and Ram very soon. At the airport, Ram escorts her till the boarding gate and they bid a teary farewell. Jaanu then gets into the flight and leaves.

Back at his home, Ram finds Jaanu's clothes that he had put to dry the previous night. He folds them neatly, puts them along with his treasured collection of school memories and shuts the suitcase and screen cuts to black.

==Synopsis==
Raj ([[Ganesh (actor)|Ganesh]]) is portrayed as a carefree guy who believes that everyone has the right to make their own decisions. At his friend Sadhu's ([[Sadhu Kokila]]) wedding reception, he sees Priva ([[Nandini Rai]]) and falls for her. He asks Sadhu's wife to learn more about Priya. Sadhu's wife gives Priya's number to her husband and asks him to pass it to Raj. A miscommunication between Raj and Sadhu leads to Raj calling another woman, Nandani ([[Amulya]]). Raj mistakes Nandani for Priya on the phone and has a conversation with her. Unbeknownst to him, Nandani knows who Raj is and develops an interest in him. Through a series of events, everything is revealed and Raj's confusion is cleared.

Meanwhile, Raj is helping his friend Anand get the attention of another girl. This girl turns out to be Priya, who falls for Anand. Comedic events lead to Anand eventually doubting Priya, which puts their relationship at stake. This is later resolved and they come together.

Meanwhile, Nandani plans revenge against Raj for the deception and pain that he put her through. She gains employment as Raj's boss and uses this position to tempt him, putting him through hardships and seducing him. Raj plans to propose to his boss (Nandani), but she is already planning to reject his proposal to avenge her pain. Just before he proposes, Raj realizes that he is truly in love with Nandani. He runs to her house to plead for forgiveness.

''Circus'' has a tag line along with its sub title Nodi Maja Maadi. Dayaal, who spoke with emotional overtones in the film, said that he will be completing the film after sixty days of schedule. He said, nearly seventy percent of the shooting will be done near or on a train. I had to toil hard to get the required permission for the shoot. A joke gone bad, the story is about Dhanush (Ganesh) and his group of friends who live in the railway colony and their meeting point is the railway station.

Dhanush is the leader of the gang and just to have some fun, they decide to send a letter stating on a particular date a train travelling from Mysore to Bangalore will be exploding. However, what they realize later after posting is that one of the friend's address is there on the letter.

In a hurry, they get into the RMS bogie of the train and after a lot of twists finally manage to extract the letter from the pile. In this process, what Dhanush discovers is that the same day a real plot has been hatched by the terrorists to blow up the Gandhadagudi express so he decides to locate it and foil the plan.

In the process of his journey, the friends take a break at one of the houses where Priya (Archana Gupta) and in no time, love blooms between Dhanush and her. So what happens to Gandhadagudi express?
