Partha Chatterjee was born in Calcutta. ==Career==
Partha Chatterjee worked as an HR professional with [[Andrew Yule and Company Ltd.|Andrew Yule]].

He was elected as an MLA from [[Behala Paschim (Vidhan Sabha constituency)|Behala Paschim]] in 2001, and subsequently re-elected from the same constituency in 2006.
