Hardeep Puri has served as [[Joint secretary to the Government of India]] in the [[Ministry of External Affairs (India)|Ministry of External Affairs]] from 1994 to 1997, and from 1999 to 2002. He has also served as [[Joint secretary to the Government of India]] in [[Ministry of Defence (India)|Ministry of Defence]] from 1997 to 1999. He was India&#039;s ambassador to Brazil.
