== Early life ==
Gehlot was born in a [[Dalit]] family in the village of Rupeta in [[Nagda]] in the [[Central India Agency]] of the [[Dominion of India]], which is in present-day [[Madhya Pradesh]], [[India]]. He is a senior member of [[Bharatiya Janata Party]].
