Lingusamy hails from a village Thirucherai in kumbakonam taluka, Thanjavur District, [[Tamil Nadu]]. He joined as an assistant director to director &#039;&#039;[[A. Venkatesh (director)|A. Venkatesh]]&#039;&#039; for his Tamil film &#039;&#039;Mahaprabhu-123&#039;&#039; and followed in his next film &#039;&#039;Selva&#039;&#039;.
