Kavari Maan (lit. 'Yak')[lower-alpha 1] is a 1979 Indian Tamil-language film, directed by S. P. Muthuraman and produced by B. H. Rajanna. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Sridevi, Major Sundarrajan and Ravichandran. The film had musical score by Ilaiyaraaja. It was released on 6 April 1979.

The music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja.[1] The song "Brova Bharama" is set in the Carnatic raga Bahudari.[2]

Release

Kavari Maan was released on 6 April 1979.[3] Though fans were unwilling to accept Ganesan portraying a wife killer,[4] the film emerged a commercial success.[5][6]
