Ashika Ranganath is an Indian actress. She rose to fame via the 2016 film, Crazy Boy[1] as female lead. She later starred in Mass Leader, Mugulu Nage[2] and Rambo 2.

Early life

Ashika was brought up by her father N. Ranganath, a Civil Contractor, and mother, B. Sudha Ranganath, a housewife.[3] Ranganath's elder sister Anusha Ranganath is also an actress.

Ashika studied in Bishop Sargant School, Tumkur and later moved to Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka, for pre-in Jyoti Nivas College, where she auditioned for a Clean and Clear Fresh Face Bangalore contest, emerging as the runner-up of Miss Fresh Face 2014.

Ashika was trained in various dance forms including freestyle, Bollywood, Belly and western.[4][5][6]

Career

Her career in acting started after Crazy Boy director Mahesh Babu picked her during a Clean and Clear Fresh Face Bangalore contest. She was nominated for the Best Debutant Actress in a Leading Role Award by SIIMA.[7]
